The Role:
The Organizational Development team is seeking a motivated Director that will lead the Talent Acquisition team and be accountable for driving the vision, strategy and plans for Talent Acquisition across the enterprise.
The Talent Acquisition Director will manage a budget of approximately $3M and lead a seasoned team of 9 direct reports, with a total team of 55. This role will ensure an excellent level of client focus and consultative delivery between the team, our HR business partners, end-clients in Bell’s Business Units and candidates.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a pro-active, collaborative leader and strategic Business Partner who is client focused and results-oriented and has demonstrated an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Organizational Development, this is a position for a senior leader who wants a challenging, fast-pace opportunity.
The Role:
- Provide leadership to the Talent Acquisition team ensuring senior leader stakeholder expectations are met
- Drive continuous improvement with a special focus on client and candidate experience
- Lead an efficient and effective, high performing workforce by attracting, developing and retaining qualified resourcing professionals through inspirational leadership and managerial excellence
- Develop relevant and timely reports on Talent Acquisition metrics, statistics and trends with proactive recommendations on required actions to constantly meet staffing goals and deliver on strategies and hiring plans/goals.
- Design, develop and manage programs and processes that ensure consistency and quality at the corporate level but also addresses and meets departmental requirements and integrates with other departmental strategies
- Develop and grow recruiting strategies that continually feed the candidate pipeline and lead a sourcing approach that reflects both the uniqueness of our business and culture.
- Ensure ROI on Talent Acquisition resources and partner with key stakeholders to develop Talent Acquisition resource plans and approach
- Refine Talent Acquisition processes that deliver a high level of satisfaction from both candidates and internal customers and provide consultative functional expertise across multiple talent acquisition domains to include: best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technology and industry benchmarks
- Assist with the development and execution of workforce planning frameworks aligned with overall business planning and manage effective quality service standards and tools to ensure the recruiting function is operating at the highest level
Key Competencies:
- At least 10-15 years work experience in mid-sized to large enterprise, at least 5 years experience of program management at the enterprise level
- Post-secondary education required, post-graduate degree an asset
- Enterprise recruitment experience, with change management accountability
- Program management experience involving multiple projects with wide impact and high visibility within large complex organizations with several lines of business
- Subject matter expertise in the field of Talent Acquisition
- 5-10 years people leader experience, with a talent for fostering collaboration, integration, consulting and driving innovation
- Experience leading multiple functions (Centre of Excellent and operational) including strategic planning, budget forecasting & management
- Excellent people Leadership skills and proven track record building and maximizing teams
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
