The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace. The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.
The Role:
The Product Specialist, Competitive Analysis position will report to the Senior Manager – Revenue and Units Management in Marketing. The role will be focused on integration of the Bell TV product to the Atlantic region as well as delivery of Bell TV revenues and units (Customers).
This resource will be expected to take a leadership role in a multi-million dollar portfolio. The specialist will be responsible for many end-to-end deliverables such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. In addition this person will be charged with the integration of the systems and processes to better align Bell Aliant and Bell TV platforms.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate Bell Aliant’s key values and bring a solid understanding of Bell Aliant’s market-facing issues. The candidate will be a team player who is performance driven, demonstrates initiative and have a keen eye for strategic thinking, analytical and presentation skills. He/She will be comfortable with ambiguity, new challenges and able to deal with all levels of management and senior leaders. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, preparation and submission of multi-year budgets and forecasts for Bell TV Revenue portfolio
- Lead/Project manage a multi-phased integration of Bell TV portfolio from Bell Canada to Bell Aliant.
- Working with cross functional groups across the company to drive both rate and volume to ensure overall revenue targets are managed too.
- Providing the senior leadership team with daily, weekly, monthly and Quarterly reporting on rate volume variances.
- Work with Finance and others to build detailed reporting packages to better manage the portfolio
- Working with all other groups, managing operational escalations for the Bell TV product.
Critical Competencies:
- Strong business acumen with solid understanding of communications industry
- Strong financial aptitude and analytical skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills along with superior presentation skills and an ability to prepare documentation to be presented to the Bell Aliant executives
- A demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships inside and outside of the organization
- Highly organized and detail oriented; able to multi-task while meeting deadlines
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business and an MBA or related business education
- Accounting designation considered an asset
- Project Management designation considered an asset
- Experience using statistics and research in business case development
- Experience with budgets and forecasting
- Experience in negotiations
