About the Role
The Director of National Retail Field sales will design and build the roadmap for the best in class retail field sales organization that serves Bell’s National Retail partners through coaching and training to deliver an exceptional client experience in their stores. The Director will focus on all customer and frontline facing programs. The successful candidate will play an integral role in translating our company values and strategic objectives into measurable deliverables and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop culture formation programs to achieve best in class levels of employee satisfaction and engagement
- Provide and articulate team purpose, align systems and processes to improve team’s ability to execute and deliver results
- Communicate and support the brand’s mission and values in every initiative that is launched
- Drive monthly areas of focus and priorities on a national level with your regional teams to maximize impact of sales efforts
- Deliver quarterly targets on activations and upgrades
- Develop in-store best practices for client interactions which promote Why Bell and Virgin presentation of our key differentiators to consumers
- Ensure high frequency of Territory Sales manager coverage across priority retailers and stores
- Work with execution and National Account Manager team to ensure flawless execution of the brand in terms of in-store merchandising, local marketing and events
- Drive discipline on execution of KPIs that drive 4 disciplines of execution process across the sales organization and maintain high standards of deliverables against each.
- Implement coaching practices to ensure both qualitative and quantitative targets are met
- Ensure that company initiatives such as product and service launches, technology changes and new company practices are effectively executed in all stores
- Work to ensure cost effective, efficient and client focused retail solutions through use of incentives and key tools and tactics to win in a multi-carrier environment
- Conduct quarterly visits in field with Territory Sales Managers and Regional Sales managers each quarter in every region to share best practices, meet regional District Manager leaders, and support training sessions.
- Ensure that all levels of retailer management have established and regular meetings and planning sessions across all banners in all regions
Demonstrated Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Travel requirements of approximately 50% of each quarter
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented and dynamic environment
- Demonstrate passion for people and customers
- Team and personal leadership including coaching, mentoring and empowerment
- Takes initiative, personal accountability and is self motivated
- Fully competent in the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of retail POS and support systems
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years senior leadership experience in a multi-unit retail environment
- Subject matter expertise in project management, go-to-market execution, campaign marketing life-cycle, customer loyalty programs
- A track record of success in a large organization with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders
- Post secondary degree with a focus on Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
