The Associate Material is responsible for the ordering, delivery and clearance of discrepancies on all Bell Purchase orders created for products and services
required for internal and external customers. The Associate produces, manages and has responsibility for all the Stock and Direct Purchase orders from point of
creation to point of delivery of the equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and authorize purchase order
- Monitor and analyse Bell stock levels to ensure orders are delivered at the right time with the right quantity
- Negotiate with different suppliers to meet customer requirements
- Ensure correct Purchase order payment of vendor invoices
- Track deliveries and lost returns which impacts vendor payment
- Identify and notify the appropriate departments when pricing, packaging, vendor part number and product life cycle changes/discrepancies
- Create and submit different statistical reports and follow up based on database for internal and/or external customers
Key decision/ problem solving:
- Escalate all customer requirements through suppliers
- Adjust to unpredictable workloads and customer quarter and year end requirements
- Investigate via numerous tools replacement vendors/distributors for back orders and obsolete out of service material
Relationships:
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, clients and customer groups
- Ability to negotiate internally and externally, with purchasing, product managers, planners, distributors and vendors
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP knowledge would be an asset
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Strong analytical skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of the network, systems and processes at Bell
Working Conditions:
- Need to be available to work Monday to Friday between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Work schedule might be changing depending on business needs
- Overtime as required
