Account Manager, CTV Vancouver Island

Location: Nanaimo, BC

 

CTV Vancouver Island has an exciting and rare opportunity for the right individual to join our high performing sales team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a CTV Vancouver Island portfolio of local advertisers in the north island to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide business owners with creative, effective advertising and marketing solutions, acting as a resource to their business.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, strategic and solution-oriented proposals including appropriate research data.
  • Provide quality service with a focus on client retention through regular and systematic contact with active and potential advertisers.
  • Complete a minimum of five new business face-to-face calls per week.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings by phone or in person as required
  • Liaise with and create trusted working relationships with co-workers including Creative, Traffic and Accounting.
  • Facilitate the collection of overdue accounts.
  • Other activities in support of station success.

 

Qualifications:

  • Passion for superior quality customer service, derived from ethic of “doing the right thing”.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with demonstrated success in negotiating and assisting clients.
  • Well versed in consultive selling process.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure of constant deadlines.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum of five to seven years experience in television/media sales.
  • Drivers’ licence, vehicle required

 

Hours of Work:  40 hours per week.  Additional hours as required.
