The Human Resources team plays a key role in helping Bell achieve its business objectives by enhancing organizational efficiency through delivering competitive employee programs, policies and processes, building and attracting top talent, driving employee effectiveness, executing projects and providing creative solutions that enable the business unit success.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Are you a manager that is passionate about leading your team to success in a high volume corporate retail recruitment environment? Are you a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and energy?

 

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources for  Bell Residential Services, Mobility and Brand, and directly supporting the VP of Corporate Stores, we are seeking a strategic and results-oriented people manager to provide HR consulting to our Corporate Stores organization. To succeed in the role, you will need to be a pro-active, disciplined and strong change agent with a proven track record as a seasoned HR Consultant. We would look to you to provide the following support:

 

  • As a business partner to leaders across Canada, you will act as a strategic advisor in all aspects of HR planning, organization design, performance management, engagement, recognition, resource planning, recruitment and leadership development
  • Manage, coach, and develop Human Resources Senior Specialists in locations across the country who provide regional HR support
  • You will propose innovative solutions to your clients, focusing on engaging, managing and developing talent while fostering a culture of performance
  • Provide complete program management (development, planning, communication, roll-out) for the implementation of a wide range of HR programs, projects and initiatives
  • Partner in the development and deployment of HR policy/product/program implementation (including change management, risk assessment and communication).
  • Ensure client satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness and direct communication
  • Coordinate in an efficient manner all HR interventions within the client group

 

 Critical Competencies

 

  • University Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in an HR consultant role
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
  • Previous experience as an HR Professional in a retail environment
  • Strong results orientation and solid track record of execution
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and client relationships
  • Able to provide advice and counsel to  employees and executives related to organizational structure/design and effectiveness to ensure alignment with business needs and achievement of objectives
  • Capable of ensuring that the complete HR service offering meets client needs and delivers business results through obtaining buy-in from peer alignment as well
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to challenge clients
  • Able to lead and facilitate change initiatives and fostering client ownership of the process
  • High degree of proficiency in all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Strong sense of urgency; results and action oriented
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player and relationship builder

 

Preferred Competencies

 

  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
  • HR designation is an asset
