Position: Switcher – CFTK TV (Permanent part-time, UNIFOR Group 2)
Location: Terrace, British Columbia
Responsibilities:
- Understand all aspects of television Master Control and news production techniques
- Possess the ability to shoot, edit, & create television content in a multitasking environment
- Be able to work independently and as part of a dynamic television team
- Present the markets only relevant source of information in a live daily newscast
- Find ways to meet and exceed acceptable standards of quality
- Be able to work nights and weekends in a high pressure environment
Skill requirements:
- Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and/or frequently un-supervised
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Mature, calm and professional manner
- Strong communication, writing and creativity.
- Able to take instruction with ease; willing to learn
- Represent Bell with integrity, respect and mature judgment
- Experience with non-linear editing systems
- Proficiency in Photoshop
- Good Camera skills
- Must possess a valid Class 5 BC Drivers License (or equivalent)
