Job Accountabilities:

 

  • Right-of-Way management (private and public)
  • Manage external relationships (municipal, legal, utilities, developers)
  • Issues resolution for external and internal parties
  • Track and manage related workload
  • Coach and develop team by sharing expertise

 

Critical Competencies:

 

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proven communication ability (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire employee involvement and teamwork
  • PC Proficient – MS Office, Windows environment
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems and database management
  • Adaption of skills to comprehend leading edge telecommunications technologies
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Bachelor of Environment Studies or Related Degree - Urban Planning focus is preferred

Preferred Competencies:

 

  • Project Management and organizational skills
  • Past team leadership experience
  • Membership – Canadian Institute of Planners, Ontario Professional Planners Institute
  • Knowledge of other Bell Canada systems

 

Working Conditions:

 

The job consists of a mixture of office work, field visits and off premise meetings with municipalities, utilities consultants and other departments within Bell.  The job requires employees that are flexible in hours of operation and are willing to put the time into the job to maintain and enhance relationships and provide our customers with top quality service.

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
