An integral part of our customer service focus, includes contact centres across Canada supporting all of our Bell Mobility and Bell Residential Services customers. Our Customer Operations team is responsible for strategy, design and delivery of core call centre tools and processes, including queue strategy, routing, and call monitoring tools.
Position Description:
Bell is currently seeking an experienced BI developer to join an exciting and challenging Agile BI shop.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- The applicant works with other team members to translate business ideas, challenges and opportunities into specific technical requirements for mission-critical development projects and key company reports
- You will drive BI initiatives end to end; from initial requirements through to design, development, unit testing and maintenance of user facing business applications.
- The applicant would enjoy full responsibility for supporting the activities related to the collection, review, cleansing, quality and reporting of data as well as end user adoption of our BI applications across the organization.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Advanced proficiency with SAS Base, DI Studio, Enterprise Guide, MS Excel, general reporting, ETL, and data warehousing tools
- Advanced proficiency in Teradata SQL
- Strong working knowledge of BI tools including SAS, MicroStrategy and Tableau
- Extensive experience with various databases ( TERADATA, MS Sql Server, Oracle)
- Working knowledge of Unix / Linux
- Experience with SSIS / DTS will be an asset
- Experience with Unica / IBM Campaign
- Demonstrated ability to utilize and manage large databases and reporting marts using SAS
- Motivated to understand business drivers to better support our internal clients.
- Strong analytical skills, technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, conceptual and logical models and physical data design are required, as well as experience with all aspects of the software development process
- Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills
- Team player and quick learner with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- High degree of initiative with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
