Reporting to the Director, Director, Real Estate & Store Development will be responsible for leasing and lease related activities for the corporate Bell and Virgin stores in Ontario. 

 

Duties:

  • Negotiate and complete approximately  30 - 40 renewal agreements per year for the corporate network of stores and kiosks.
  • Negotiate principle business terms for new stores, relocations or expansions for stores and kiosks.
  • Stay informed of shopping centre developments and competitor activity, and actively engage with Landlords to protect or improve strategic store and kiosk locations.
  • Secure subsidiary locations to support the store network during renovations, including temporary premises, storage, etc.
  • Establish close and effective working relationships with regional Sale Directors to understand and support regional priorities.
  • Work closely with the Construction department to co-ordinate leasing activity in support of our ongoing store renovation programme.
  • Assist in strategic planning for company initiatives with real estate implications, including store retrofits, kiosk upgrades, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in related field such as economics, business, finance or real estate.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in leasing, with either a retailer or retail landlord. 
  • Network of established relationships with mall landlords and managers.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a detailed understanding of lease documentation.

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
