The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.

The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.

 

 

The  IT Delivery - Business markets team is looking for a highly motivated individual, who thrives in a constantly changing and exciting environment, to apply creativity and innovation in the delivery of solutions essential to support the Bell Business Market Segment’s future success.  In partnership with multiple sponsors, stakeholders and vendors, the candidate will be responsible for delivering a variety of projects related to New Product Introduction, Business Transformation and Operations Efficiency, leading many cross functional project delivery teams.

 

Job duties / accountabilities  

 

  • Develop scope, manage the planning, implementation and delivery of projects to meet client requirements start to finish
  • Manage project teams to deliver project scope on-time and budget
  • Develop and manage project budget
  • Manage project communications (proficient in power point)
  • Prepare and present project status to the appropriate level of Governance
  • Provide required project documentation to sponsor, executives and project team members, including: Project status, scope definition, project charters, detailed project management plans with schedule of key milestones, issue logs, budget tracking reports, weekly status reports and risk assessments/contingency plans
  • Responsible for risk mitigation and planning
  • Utilize project management methodologies and provide appropriate documentation that is consistent and reusable
  • Respond to issues and manage the customer’s expectations regarding any changes during the project life cycle

 

Essential skills / competencies:

 

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma, Project Management Certificate (PMP or PMC) and/or BA Certificate
  • 5-10 years as Senior Project Management experience
  • Proven ability to manage successful business relationships with peers in various departments & at different levels of management
  • Proven facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to pull together experts & gather project requirements 
  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written
  • Strong PC & Internet skills including working at the intermediate level in MS Office programs, especially MS Project
  • Proven leadership skills, Strong planning & organization skills
  • Good understanding of IT and software development
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and constant changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sense of team spirit

 

Preferred skills / competencies:

 

  • A Masters Certificate in Project Management is highly recommended and such candidates will be given first consideration
  • PMP Certification is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with BBSP, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • General knowledge and understanding of Bell’s network, systems and processes

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Ability to travel within Montreal, Toronto corridors with little advance notification
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet project deliverables when necessary
  • Job Location (city): Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, London
  • Full time teleworking is not an option

 

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
