The Role:

 This is a challenging position for a customer-focused product manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering new products in the Enterprise Telecom or Computing industry. You will partner with other high energy professionals who are passionate about contributing to Bell’s goal of being recognized as Canada’s leading Communications Company.

As part of the products and services team, you will be working with various Bell business units to manage and launch new IoT services, connectivity strategies and platforms with a focus on enterprise solutions. Bell’s IoT solutions enable dramatic changes in the way businesses operate and communicate, such as smart cities and smart factories.  You’ll contribute to evaluations and recommendations for connectivity and platforms that will improve our customers’ business operations, access to information and overall ROI, while differentiating Bell from competitors. 
  

Performing this role involves experience in spearheading product management and development activities. This includes developing product requirements, concept design, testing of new services, preparing business case justification for new product investments, identifying launch strategies and post-launch reporting and analytics; with the customer experience being paramount for all activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the the M2M and IoT enterprise solutions and device markets
  • Contribute to and management of IoT / M2M product strategy and roadmap
  • Ability to analyze vast amounts of information and to understand complex enterprise problems; seek out various solutions that optimally bring enterprise value to  businesses and their customers
  • Deliver on the product strategy in coordination with the various stakeholders across Bell’s business units
  • Manage development and product releases with cross functional groups (i.e. engineering, billing, customer care, and sales)
  • Work closely with integrators, vendors and internal teams to deploy and support our products
  • Work with cross-functional product teams to deliver customer-focused services with the desired deployment schedules
  • Create product requirements documents and business cases for new products and enablement platforms
  • Manage resolution of project and development issues
  • Track and analyze performance of solutions through the various stages of the product lifecycle to help identify opportunities or areas of improvement
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly metric reports to monitor product life cycle.
  • Develop models to forecast business case scenarios and identify analytical insights that drive revenue.  

 

Experience / Core competencies

  • Min 3-5 years of practical experience in product management and development. Experience in high tech industries preferred.
  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate and support suppliers, and partners as well as work closely with middle management teams. Strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of traditional and nascent wireline networks and IoT solutions and wireless networks
  • Experience working with enterprise grade solutions and understanding of enterprise grade solutions and sales processes
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical modelling and creative skills.
  • Technically inclined with an interest and ability to understand new technology
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Motivated and a self-starter and comfortable leading others
  • Experience delivering solutions and/or recommendations to leadership team
