Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Position Description:
Reporting to a Systems Operations Manager, the System Administrator will be responsible for day-2 support of small, medium and enterprise class customers. Working within a Windows support team, the candidate will be monitoring server health status, working closely with project teams, patching, and supporting backup solutions on a day-to-day basis.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Manage and configure Virtual Server Environments (VSphere 5.0+)
- Implement and manage Windows environments to ensure high availability
- Gate new customer accounts from project to operations
- Monitor servers and network infrastructure
- Support Project Team(s)
- Develop and administer security policies and procedures
- Develop and administer NetBackup and EPO
- Manage user authentication and security on the network
- Support an on-call rotation for patching and escalations
- Engage with 3rd party vendors on product support issues and escalation procedures
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- One or more years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a Windows environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on large projects while maintaining day-to-day responsibilities
- Exchange administration experience
- Hardware knowledge/ Certification for both HP and Dell servers
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE (preferably Server Infrastructure)
- Scripting knowledge would be a plus (admin task automation, reporting & monitoring)
- VSphere 5.0+
- SAN (3par, Netapp Data Management, Dell EqualLogic,…), cloud and switched fabric knowledge/ experience
- Windows Server 2008 and 2012 administration experience
- Windows Exchange
- Systems administration experience in environments with large SQL servers
- NetBackup 7.5 Certification
