The Bell Mobility wireless network team designs, builds and operates Canada’s Best Network.

 

Mobile TV, Facebook, Twitter, BlackBerry, Android, iPhone, HSPA+, LTE, IPv6 are the toys in our playground.  The young and dynamic Bell Mobility team is front and centre in testing, deploying and maximizing the technologies that are revolutionizing the world.

 

We are a technology team linked to RF Engineering, Network Performance and the VAS teams to execute on our number one priority:  Delivering Canada’s Best Network to our customers.  The team is responsible to detect and refer Network and Service Degradations in all our Networks. The successful candidate will report to the Service Assurance Team Leader.

 

Job duties / Responsabilities:
 

  • Detect and refer Network and Service degradations to the appropriate teams
  • Provide technical support to various groups through KPI’s analysis
  • Analyze and solve customers’ issues through KPI’s analysis
  • Follow up and analysis of networks performance
  • Manage Post-Implementation Analysis
  • Create and provide reports on Network and Service Performance
  • Coordinate activities between teams in order to solve network issues
  • Participate in the development of the Yoda tool
     

 Required competencies / Essential skills:
 

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering in telecommunication area or a collegial degree with a minimum of  2 years experience in telecommunication area
  • Good understanding of HSPA, LTE & CDMA network operations
  • Good understanding of HSPA, LTE & CDMA equipment and parameters
  • Teamwork ability
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Good knowledge in VB Net in Visual Studio and Pearl
  • Time and priority management skills


Desired competencies / Skills:
 

  • Knowledge of MapInfo, Microsoft Access and Visual basic would be an important asset.
  • Knowledge base of UMTS/HSPA and LTE networks/technology
