The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace.  The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.

Overview of the Bell Residential Services (BRS) Product Team:

The Strategic Fibre Projects team at Bell Residential Services (BRS) delivers initiatives that enable new product innovation and enhancements to video, internet services and voice.  Our mission is to identify, develop, deploy projects that support the hottest next generation services like Fibe TV, which simplify and enhance the communication experience for the Canadian consumer at home and away. This team is driving innovation and change inside and outside of Bell.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Each day at BRS is unique so there is no typical day. However, listed below are some highlights of responsibilities:

  • Be a mini-CFO for your projects from conception to launch to help determine NPV and ROI (leading business case)
  • Model multiple scenarios to determine maximum benefit
  • Present your own recommendations based on cost-benefit analysis to Senior Executives
  • Liaise with internal and cross-functional teams with priorities on Capital management and building budget plans
  • Simultaneously maintain project schedules, road maps and project budget (Capex, Opex) forecasts
  • Conduct competitive analysis to ensure we are measuring against our competitors’ latest and greatest

  • Solid business analytics, financial acumen and use data to tell a story
  • Ability to confidently lead large cross-functional teams and influence without authority
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
  • Ability to turn uncertainty into well-defined strategic pathways
  • Quick learner and able to hit the ground running on new initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A University degree with a focus on Engineering or Business – MBA is a strong asset
  • Full mastery of all MS Office products
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
  • Experience in analysis, spreadsheet applications and building PowerPoint presentations
  • Knowledge of overall business management, business processes and P & L
