Executive Assistant to the News Director, Full-time

CTV Vancouver

             

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.

              

Responsibilities:             

  • Act as Executive Assistant to the News Director includes the following:
    • Managing and Coordinating the News Director’s calendar and meetings
    • Format and distribute written communication for the News Director
    • Monitoring and replying to voicemails and emails from viewers
    • Assisting News Management team with administration as required
  • Assistant guest/segment production of CTV Morning Live
  • Operate teleprompter for CTV News at Noon
  • Coordinate internships in the Newsroom by communicating with applicants, school programs, and employees involved
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:  

  • Post secondary education in journalism preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Familiarity with inews an asset
