Includes corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

 

Within Bell Business Markets, the Finance Manager plays a critical role within the Financial Planning and Reporting group. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others.  Working closely with the Senior Manager, Finance, the candidate will be involved in the analysis of results, forecasts, budgets, and long range plans. 

 

The role also includes analyzing key metrics, as well as developing enhanced, value added financial analysis and insight to help drive improved financial and business performance. 

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Perform financial analysis in the context of results, forecasts and plan to evaluate the business trends, identify key risks & opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Manage the month-end results reporting process by providing insightful analysis on key variances amongst various product portfolios 
  • Maintain and continually improve forecast models to ensure that key operational drivers are properly captured
  • Work closely with the Product and Sales Finance teams to participate in the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Responsible for presenting the monthly results and forecasts to the executive team
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects and business case analysis for various strategic initiatives to drive improved profitability

 

Critical Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in a financial or analytical role.
  • Detail-oriented, effective at managing time and prioritizing, a quick learner and critical thinker.
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve when information is not readily available.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to articulate business issues and solutions succinctly in front of an executive team
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization
  • Proficient with standard Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CPA, CGA or MBA
  • Working knowledge of SAP and BI
  • Working knowledge of Clarity
  • Flexible schedule during month/year end periods
