An integral part of our customer service focus, includes contact centres across Canada supporting all of our Bell Mobility and Bell Residential Services customers. Our  Customer Operations team is responsible for strategy, design and delivery of core call centre tools and processes, including queue strategy, routing, and call monitoring tools.

 

Bell’s Business Intelligence team is responsible for the management and optimization of BI systems used to analyze customer behavior, automate business insight processes target marketing & contact strategy opportunities and provide insight to drive optimal business decisions.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, the Project Manager will be working closely with a number of internal partners, including IT, the operations, marketing, product development, etc. The Project manager will be responsible for coordination of customers’ and end users’ requests in order to deliver projects with speed and accuracy.   The Project Manager must be a highly motivated and professional individual with a passion for improving the overall Customer Experience and delivering initiatives to drive specific results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively engage, lead and influence cross functional teams to deliver highest level of quality on all projects within committed timeline and scope, and meeting all project requirements and deliverables.
  • Create and manage project plans and related documentation in accordance with established project management methodology (Project Charter, Scope, WBS, Budget, Action Registers, etc.).
  • Engage and build strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders to incorporate their goals, and instill confidence to ensure alignment to and adoption of solutions.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, including risks and risk management approach to senior management.
  • Support project request coming into the Business Intelligence Development team.
  • Generate and Communicate KPIs to management
  • Effectively evaluate and represent Business Intelligence Development team in large IT Projects

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • A minimum 3-5 years of Project Management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodology and best practices (e.g. PMI), proficiency using Project Management Tools including MS Office products (Excel, Work, PowerPoint) and MS Project and strong understanding of the Project Life Cycle. Formal project management training is desirable; PMI/PMP certification is not required but is considered an asset.
  • Background knowledge of the telecommunications industry, IT and Operations process enabling you to appropriately guide project requirements, identify risks and direct analysis is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written to manage the project horizontally and vertically within Bell
  • Proven facilitation,  planning & organization skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and changing priorities

 

Preferred Qualifications /Competencies:

  • Experience in BI development project management would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of other system areas outside of ordering such as billing, provisioning and field services
  • Knowledge of Bell’s residential and Mobility services products

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams, handling multiple projects and aggressive timelines
  • Fast paced, changing working environment, interfacing with a myriad of stakeholders
  • Available  to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet hard deadlines
  • Full time teleworking not an option
