This is a great opportunity for professionals interested in working on the Marketing Communications team. There are 2 positions available.
The first position is the TV Content and Marketing Communications Specialist, Bell Local Marketing Communications role. The position will focus on the management of Bell Canada’s new community TV channel, Bell Local and will require a unique combination of competencies.
Bell Local is found on Fibe TV On Demand. Bell Local, along with members of the community, creates inspiring and interesting local programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the content, partnerships, budget and awareness of Bell Local. They will have a good instinct for TV content that will resonate with a number of different audiences and a solid background both social media and traditional marketing communications to help execute awareness campaigns of Bell Local.
In order to accomplish that you will need to partner closely with various internal teams such as Marketing, Product Development, Regulatory and Finance as well as partners, such as Bell Media. The candidate will also be involved in understanding Fibe’s growth plan and be able to make sound recommendations on Bell Local’s strategic direction.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
Responsibilities:
* Act as an intermediary with TV content creation teams
* Make recommendations on TV content and direction
* Track all TV content and its accuracy with Fibe’s Video on Demand storefront
* Develop and deliver Marketing Communication tactics for Bell Local to increase awareness and viewership
* Manage approved budgets
* Execute components of our Marketing and Communications Plan related to print, radio, tv, web and social media.
* Work with external agencies to develop and produce marketing materials
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Ability to build and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding or experience in TV Production
- Ability to manage/prioritize/organize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong problem solving skills
- Bilingual (French & English) is a must
The second position is the Financial Planning Specialist, Bell Local Marketing Communications role. In order to accomplish that you will need to partner closely with various internal teams such as Marketing, Product Development, Regulatory and Finance. Working with regulatory and controllers you will need to understand Bell Canada’s Community TV obligation and the financial framework outlined in the obligation for monthly and annual reporting purposes. The candidate will also be involved in understanding Fibe’s growth plan and be able to make sound recommendations on Bell Local’s strategic direction.

* Responsible for budgetary control of Bell Local
* Maintain company records in accordance with general accounting principles
* Tracking spending for approved projects, reporting monthly by department.
* Preparing monthly reporting package and variance analysis. Explaining differences between actual results and budget.
* Analyze cost activities, make recommendations on cost optimization
* Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and to improve the bottom line
* Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for the use in the development of financial business decisions.
* Develop strategic plans for new Bell Local TV communities based on Fibe revenue and Fibe footprint
* Prepare annual financial reports on expenditures for review and CRTC filings
* Lead strategic and annual budget planning
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* Ability to build and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong financial modelling skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Takes pride in their work and pays attention to details
* Strong data and database understanding, and strong analytic and problem solving skills
