Bell Procurement team strives to deliver the best total cost of ownership through a world class supply base - maximizing customer satisfaction through exemplary service and support. We partner with internal client groups to establish supplier relationships that provide access to emerging technologies, supply continuity and speed to market in support of profitable, new revenue. We employ ethical practices across our end to end process while operating efficiently through the use of electronic commerce. Job Duties and Accountabilities will be:

 

Procurement Analyst, Assist stakeholders with data analysis needs:

  • Support procurement teams by serving as an analytics specialist, logical analysis, strategic analysis, market researches and spend analysis.
  • Support long-term category management by developing automated tools and automated solutions that will ensure effective knowledge management transfer and continual scrutiny of category.
  • Manage and perform quality control.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports for the procurement group.

 

 Application support (Ariba)

  • Provide level 1 support for the Ariba Buyer module used by Bell employees, for the preparation and approval of purchase requisitions, and the purchase of stationery.
  • Respond to all support requests through the Helpline telephone and/or e-mail, using rapid issue resolution methods.
  • Respond to complaints from employees. Manage escalations when required, and ensure follow-up is done until complete resolution of the problem(s).
  • Create and maintain training material, support and quick-reference documents in reference to the Ariba application, for employees of Bell Canada and its affiliates when required.
  • Conduct employee training on the use of the Ariba Buyer module.
  • Under the direction of the Bell eSourcing Manager, assist Category Managers (Buyers) in preparing Sourcing events and eAuctions. Create, customize and maintain eSourcing training material for participating suppliers.
  • Interface with the Bell procurement group and the Bell eSourcing Manager.
  • Provide level 1 support for the Ariba Contract Workbench module (contract management tool).
  • Interact with our IT Application Support (CGI) for enhancements and complex problem resolution to ensure optimal performance.

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Thorough understanding of financial concepts.
  • Expertise in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Access, Excel etc.).
  • Excellent capacity in the creation of reports.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, statistics knowledge and experience required.
  • Drive to achieve problem resolutions.
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, reporting and writing skills, with minimal guidance.
  • Proven sound business judgement and acumen.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize while working independently.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Solid communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to prepare and modify clear and concise reports.
  • Bilingual: English and French.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • 1-3 years experience in financial data analysis.
  • University diploma.
  • Relevant industry experience – preferably in telecommunications.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • SAP and Ariba experience a plus.
  • Relevant industry experience preferably in telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of Bell processes and politics an asset.
