Location: Dome Productions, 1 Blue Jays Way - Rogers Centre, Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the movement of our mobile fleet between various productions and locations throughout the year. Reflect these movements accurately and completely on the mobile schedule for all company stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient scheduling of mobiles to minimize ancillary costs such as fuel, mileage, driver time/travel, etc. The cost ramifications of truck movements, and understanding the impacts of these, are integral to the position.
- Work across all Dome departments to ensure relevant information is acquired in a timely manner and any questions are answered. Verify that all events have been assigned a mobile.
- Communicate changes in, issues with, or other pertinent information regarding the schedule to the various departments within the company and follow through to resolution to ensure the success of the shoot.
- Contact external vendors and arrange rental mobiles, ensuring adequate technical specifications, rate, and availability.
- Review and approve vendor invoices relating to mobile rentals to ensure accurate billing.
- Work together with engineering and fleet to schedule regular maintenance on the fleet of mobiles at various locations across the continent.
- React quickly and effectively to last minute changes, breakdowns, and weather situations to ensure that productions are facilitated and broadcast. This may sometimes include working late hours and on weekends.
Qualifications:
- College or University degree an asset
- Previous logistic and/or broadcast experience is an asset
- Very organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to participate in high functioning teams
- A proactive willingness to find solutions both during and after work hours to complex problems and situations.
- The ability to work independently and see both the small and big picture of each decision, including analyzing various potential scenarios in advance
