The Role
The candidate is responsible for achieving the business strategies and tactical plans for the Cabling Division by managing projects involving the installation of structured cabling systems designed with fiber cables, copper cables, and other physical layer mediums. The individual maintains a network of business contacts to capitalize on business opportunities, while promoting Bell’s culture and values.
Responsibilities
• Opportunity to manage internal and external resources to complete specific tasks on time, and on budget
• Provide quotes and responses to RFI/RFQ opportunities as well as manage national customers quoted from Head Office
• Maintain control over quality standards, resource allocation, and all project costs over the duration of projects
• Undertake responsibility for planning and goals achievement, including initial site meeting for estimation and post-project review meetings, and final project documentation
• Travels to sites to actively monitor and manage work activities
• Implements and maintains an active communication process with the customer or customer’s agent, and technicians on site to ensure a high standard of quality and customer service, act as a point of escalation on site issues, and ensure that the project adheres to the overall construction schedule
• Identifies all “out of scope” work and obtains proper documentation related to change orders
• Provide progress reports and ensure accounting issues are addressed
• Identify and communicate sales opportunities, and liaise with Estimators, Clients, Trades, and Subcontractors; both union and non-union
• Supports a continuous improvement atmosphere and maximizes efficiency
• Other related duties and responsibilities as required
