The Role:


The Director Retail Channel Execution will execute the roadmap for best in class retail programs to drive sales performance and to deliver an exceptional client experience in our stores.  The Director will provide communication and execution tools to the stores on all customer and frontline facing programs.  They will consistently gather feedback from the field leadership and analyze program impact to suggest updates or modification to corporate programs.

 

The Director – Retail Channel Execution will have two core areas of responsibility:

  1.  Retail Execution of all BCE initiatives supporting over 400 corporately owned stores. 
  1. Retail Training overseeing the design and delivery of a wide range of training and development programs to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness

The Candidate will manage relationships across multiple functional areas and business units, and focuses on multiple projects at any given time. 

The Director, Retail Channel Execution reports to the Vice President, Corporate Stores

 

Key Responsibilities

Retail Execution:

  • Oversee the change management process to ensure the successful implementation of all initiatives to the retail stores
  • Oversee all sales incentive programs with objectives aligned to corporate strategic initiatives and demonstrate ROI of all programs. 
  • Execute offsite events nationally - Mall tours, Home Shows, Festivals and On-Campus to increase points of distribution during peak sales periods. 
  • Liaise between sales and marketing organizations to direct sales feedback and competitive intelligence relating to in market offers, product and service features.
  • Identify, develop and execute on the Corporate Stores cultural roadmap ensuring a consistent employee and customer experience nationally across all locations. 

 

Retail Training

  • Responsible for the development of training to support all Bell products and services sold in a retail store within Canada including:
    • Mobility Services – Consumer and Business
    • Residential Services - Home Phone, Internet and TV
  • Develop and execute all retail leadership programs – Store Manager Camp, Store Manager Operations Training, Recruitment Training and the Next Generation Leadership Training program.
  • Ensure programs are maintained through ongoing skills adoption programs and measured via a third party mystery shop program and Voice of the Customer Program.

 

Critical Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in telecom industry over 5-10+ years
  • Previous experience in strategy, channel execution, training and communications
  • Proven ability to measure program effectiveness and recommend modifications as required
  • Must be agile to stay informed on policies and procedures, product offers and industry knowledge in a rapidly changing environment
  • Must possess a passion for technology to stay at the forefront of industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead high performance teams
  • Strong analytical skills, financial aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time and to work effectively with other functions to ensure deadlines are met
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, oral and verbal communication

 

 

Education and Experience

  • 7+ years retail and / or channel experience
  • 7+ years experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in a large organization and the ability to work with cross functional stakeholders
  • University degree with a focus on Business Administration, Marketing or other equivalent
