Corporate Groups offers best practice services to support the organization, including Finance, Legal & Regulatory, Brand, Corporate Services – including HR, Communications, Real Estate, Security and Procurement & Value Creation.

Role:

Reporting to the Director, human resources, this position is a strategic business partner to local and corporate internal clients, and the multi-skilled and motivated individual will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

* Partnering with, and coaching, managers on how to address performance issues, and develop clear and measurable action plans
* Act as mediator when interpersonal conflict issues arise in order to achieve resolution
* Front the annual performance management process, team surveys, employee benefits co-ordination, and annual salary review process
* Advise management on various labour relations issues and collective agreement interpretation
* Foster and maintain a positive and productive working partnership with the union executive
* Facilitate the recruitment process with the managers
* Write, prepare, present conditional offer letters of employment and Talent contracts
* Respond to employee questions, concerns
* Partner with, and respond to, management in all areas of utilization of human resources as well as legal and contractual obligations

Qualifications:

* Post- Secondary degree or diploma in Business administration or Human resources
* CHRP designation is a definite asset
* Several years experience in a labour relations role in a unionized environment
* Must possess the ability to build relationships, speak credibly, and foster a client service environment based on integrity
* Excellent concentration, communications, computer skills
* Able to work under pressure and have demonstrated ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision-making
* Ability to work in an environment with emphasis on internal assistance, while upholding professional standards

Work conditions:

* Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required
* Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
