The Role:
The Contract Management team within Network Provisioning is prime for the engagement of external suppliers. Specifically the contract management team writes and negotiates contracts and price structures, working closely with Purchasing, the Supplier(s), and the internal client group in Network Provisioning. The team also provides day to day support to the various groups in the application and interpretation of the contracts.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
* Negotiate new or renegotiate existing civil construction related contracts
* Work closely with the Network Provisioning client groups to develop and establish contracts for services which will address the needs of Bell’s operational teams
* Write contract clauses and descriptions which encompass the operation requirements
* Analyze price structures and negotiate in order to fairly develop a contract which delivers cost efficiencies to Bell
* Organize and prepare transition plans in the event of Supplier change
* Act as Level 2 contract support to Purchasing, Process, Client Groups, and Suppliers
* Audit supplier invoicing in comparison to services delivered. Look for efficiencies
* Provide cost and performance analysis of the selected vendors through the life of the contract
* Point of contract for corporate communication on subject matter. Lead on presentations, calls and written communication
* Act soundly and consistently in resolving issues related to the application of the contract clauses or billing edits
* Prepare reporting and analyses for the business unit(s) needs
* Coordinate and/or execute quality assurance for services delivered and invoicing
Essential Skills/Competencies:
* Knowledgeable of the activities and the needs of Network Provisioning (NP)
* Experience in business processes and workflow
* Technical knowledge of civil construction methodology
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
* Continuous improvement oriented
* Capable of analyzing data from various sources to provide recommendations in Bell’s best interest
* Knowledgeable of SAP
* Strong leadership, team oriented
* Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision
* Capable of managing multiple/changing priorities in an evolving environment
* Strong computer skills. Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent verbal and written communication, in English
* Regular field inspections and site visits required – may require off normal hours due to job scheduling
* Travel in Ontario, Quebec and Western Canada may be required
Preferred Skills/Competencies:
* A post secondary diploma in Administration studies or Engineering and/or equivalent experience
* Construction background in civil, line and splicing operations
* Experience in management/negotiation of contracts (Engineering and Civil work) will be an asset
* French speaking and writing abilities an asset
* Industry recognized certification is an asset (P.Eng, CET, PMP, etc)
