The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace. The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.
The Role:
This service-oriented position works oversees the MDU Partnership team which is responsible to obtain various forms of agreements and marketing enablers, as well as to devise and execute tactics to increase Bell service penetration in residential locations. The position builds relationships and negotiates contracts with major Property Managers and Condominium Boards in Ontario and Quebec and will oversee a team of negotiators.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
* Prospect, identify, develop and maintain partnerships with large Condominium Boards and Property Management Companies
* Oversee Relationship Management including hosting and hospitality, VIP programs and Partner loyalty programs
* Prioritize building roadmap “funnel” with Network provisioning team based on sales criteria
* Assign Negotiating team to negotiating files based on the “funnel”, manages escalations, as well as negotiates a portfolio of Marketing and Access agreements for Home Phone, TV, Internet
* Conduct formal and informal presentations to senior executives, both internally and in partner corporations
* Manage the negotiation process through to service implementation and customer satisfaction
* Manage client issues and escalations, including business needs at site
* Create and update team funnel and calendar of Partnership activities, including negotiations, contract execution, first occupancy dates and relationship management events (e.g. hosting)
* Work in a team environment to contribute to the overall goals of the department
* Work with the larger BRS and Bell Canada teams to address client issues
* May be required to also negotiate agreements with existing MDU’s or to negotiate mixed-use agreements for combined commercial and residential buildings
Critical Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent presentation skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate in a dynamic and ever-changing business
* Team Player – understands the importance of working independently and providing support to the team
* Strong negotiation experience
* Adaptable - adjusts quickly to changing priorities and copes well with complexity
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills
* Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including Word and PowerPoint software as well as video apps for tablet and handset demonstrations to partners
Qualifications/Competencies:
* Minimum 5 years of negotiation/management experience in the MDU market (or equivalent)
* Experience in complex contract negotiation
* Must be highly organized, strategic thinker with ability to manage and lead both direct reports and cross-functional team of peers
* Must be comfortable dealing with senior executives
* Experience in managing staff and track record of positive staff feedback and high morale
* Track-record of excellent service and proven relationship skills
* Action-oriented, a demonstrated ability to deliver results
* Extensive knowledge of the MDU industry including rental and condominium ownership models, residuals, etc.
