The Bell Mobility Finance team is seeking a motivated Manager to work closely with the Bell Mobility business unit Controller team on a new initiative. The role will be responsible for the financial integrity of an end-to-end program initiative. This position will require analyzing and interpreting current and projected financial performance, assessing accounting and statistical financial data, preparing accounting entries, reconciliation of key accounts and continuous improvement of financial processes and controls related to the initiative. This person will be expected to become a subject matter expert on this area of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee end-to-end accounting for a new program in partnership with Mobility Controllers team. Identification of issues and adherence to policies under IFRS
* Understand the Mobility business and become a subject matter expert in new product introductions, process improvements and systems and technology projects around this new program
* Liaise between Finance and Controllers for monthly variance analysis for Financial Reporting
* Ensure financial integrity of results through the understanding of financial processes and controls and reviewing and approving financial transactions and entries.
* Proactively identify opportunities for process and policy improvements and implement change where required
* Manage accounting estimates (e.x. allowance for doubtful accounts) via a deep understanding of business risks and processes
* Partner with Tax to ensure appropriate taxation requirements are met
* Influence business leaders by providing insightful, relevant analysis
Key Qualifications:
* CPA, CA Professional designation
* 2 to 3 years experience in a finance or auditing role
* Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and consistently deliver on time with a high degree of accuracy
* Experience with practical application of accounting principles that combines strong core technical knowledge, an ability to identify key risks and control gaps, industry specific knowledge, and a passion to understand business and financial processes
* In-depth problem solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to partner with various cross-functional groups and management levels
* Highly organized, ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
* Solid working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
