Responsibilities:
- Ensure the development and the production of programs for Canal D;
- Collaborate on the development of the fiscal strategy concerning expenses for original productions;
- Evaluate original productions projects (concept, text, budget, team);
- Supervise and approve all steps leading to the final product: preproduction, reading, screening of scenarios, follow ups concerning communications, requests for contracts, etc.;
- Participate in the development of the programming and schedule strategy;
- Be in charge of various projects and monitor productions with internal and external resources from the industry.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in television, specifically as a production delegate and/or in a programming team;
- Very good knowledge of the television network in Quebec;
- Good knowledge of the funding mechanism of TV shows in Canada, in particular the rules and politics of the Canada Media Fund;
- Knowledge of the business environment (important asset);
- Ability to obtain the best of production teams;
- Relevant experience in managing budgets; teams and projects;
- Creative, analytical, autonomy, sense of responsibility and teamwork;
- Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
