Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.

Reporting to the Director or Chief of Management, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the engineering design and integration of telephony solutions meeting needs expressed by the client.

Main Responsibilities

* Collect information related to telecommunication needs expressed by the client. Analyze and recommend solutions. Develop thorough proposals including technical and financial elements.
* Design engineering for telephony solutions. Produce drawings and specifications for achievement of tasks related to the selected solution. Make sure of good solution integration in the customer environment and processes
* Document solutions specifications to help the Operations team in managing the client network
* Prepare the transition to allow a handover to the Operations team
* Coordinate tasks required for the implementation of the solution chosen by the client. Provide follow-up to ensure terms of specifications are complied with.
* Recommend upgrades, improvements or technological changes in order to maintain network infrastructure operable and effective.
* Analyze new products, software version and make recommendations. Produce plans for new solution introduction tests. Ensure technical testing is made and ensure corrections of anomalies
* Produce and draft technical reports on request for the client or management.
* Act as technical consultant and advisor for operational groups and management specific to field of expertise.
* Tack in charge, when required, complex problems resolution

Knowledge and Special Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Engineering with major in Telecommunications, Computer Sciences or equivalent. Or equivalent experience with a minimum of eight (8) years experience in the Telecommunication domain
* Excellent knowledge of Cisco telephony products ( certifications will be an asset )
* Good Knowledge and experience with IP telephony , Call centers environnement and circuits etc..
* Good experience in Cisco telephony solution design and delivery
* Capacity to act as an integrator for solutions with multiple technologies
* Knowledge on servers and data Network
* Proactivity and capacity to have an end to end vision on mandates and solutions
* Bilingual ( asset)
