Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain the Supply Chain Analyst helps drive the business by implementing supply chain initiatives, including developing appropriate freight and product costing strategies, ensure objectives are fully met and effectively communicated to all stakeholders.

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for implementing strategies that will maximize the assigned business unit’s overall inventory and in-stock position, while maintaining an optimal freight strategy that will minimize distribution costs. The successful candidate will have clearly demonstrated the ability to coordinate activities between Vendors, Traffic, Freight, Optimization and Merchandising.

Responsibilities

* Financial reporting on performance of 3PL on a weekly/monthly basis
* Reviewing and initial sign off and coding of invoices from 3 PL and also from freight carriers
* Assisting in the building of annual budgets
* Continual reviewing of freight spend, how much we are spending, where we are spending, etc.
* Identifying opportunities to make changes that will result in reduced 3PL spend, freight spend or improvements in the service we provide our customers.
* Supports projects by analyzing data, determining needed transactions, and performing transactions.
* Monitors reports on transactional activity, questioning variances and adjustments. Corrects transactional errors whenever required. May monitor open orders and adjust product allocation to orders
* Prepares recommendations for inventory adjustments and disposition, and effectively communicates the reasons for these adjustments to secure approval
* Coordinates warehouse transfers and disposition orders as required
* Manages medium-sized projects for improving expense management, and process improvements.
* Provides analytical and planning support to the Supply Chain team to achieve industry-leading customer service while
* Optimizing the costs associated with freight and warehouse costs.
* Designs, analyzes and generates reports for decision support.
* Coordinates with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and third party logistics companies to reconcile inventory control issues.
* Supports projects to improve costs, efficiencies and service performance of 3PL and freight carriers and accuracy.

Essential Requirements

* Possess 3-5 years demonstrated experience in freight management and as a Supply chain analyst
* University degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Math, Business or related field
* Well developed analytical skills & proactive problem solving skills
* Comfort in dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization
* Strong written and spoken communication skills
* Ability to negotiate and implement change
* Ability to model processes and to determine financial implications of alternatives
* Possess Six Sigma (or equivalent)
* A thorough understanding of SAP and computer-based reporting systems
