Our Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE — Canada’s largest and fastest wireless network.

Reporting to the Manager, Service Assurance, the incumbent is a technical specialist who contributes to the implementation and support of several server and applicative surveillance tools as part of the delivery of Bell’s Managed Services environments for customer networks, security , VoIP and servers.
The successful candidate will meet all requirements for customers supported by Managed Services Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assists operational partners to resolve critical incidents within SLA timeframes.
* Implements new monitoring tools, produces documentation and provides training to operational partners.
* Manage applicative software issues, documents and implements fixes within a defined release window.
* Performs software platform upgrades and installations.
* Participates in the development and testing of implementation strategies to ensure the integration and stability of management tools.
* Performs software platform upgrades and installations.
* Participates in the planning and coordination of deliverables and contributes to timelines establishment for projects and release windows.
* In relation to his area of expertise, maybe called to participate on workgroups for bidding processes.
* Analyzes the company’s need for management tools and for its customers, evaluates and proposes solutions as required.
* Ensures the integrity, consistency and continuous performance of management tools. Supports incident troubleshooting and complex problems resolution.
Knowledge / specialized studies:
* University degree 1st cycle or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Five (5) years experience in computer and network technology preferably in a telecommunications environment (Servers and Applications)
* Excellent knowledge of operating systems Linux, Unix, Windows
* Good knowledge of TCP / IP, SNMP, MIB
* Good knowledge in XML
* Good knowledge of Visio, Word, Excel
* Knowledge of troubleshooting tools communication as wireshark or tcpdump
* Knowledge of SCOM or Nimsoft (an asset)
* Knowledge of scripting language such as perl, bash, powershell ... (an asset)
* Knowledge of practices and industry standards (ITIL, ISO 27001, ...)
* Ability to draft technical documentation relating to application monitoring
* Ability to analyze, synthesize and organization skills
* Bilingualism (French and English)
* Availability to Support 24/7
