The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.
Hiring Department: Bell Identity & Access Management (IAM) team
The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is accountable for the systems and infrastructure that support Identity Management (IdM) and Access Control in the organization, both employee and customer facing. These environments include the corporate employee directory (LDAP), Active Directory infrastructure, Bell Entry Point – the employee Standard Sign-On solution, Bell.ca and retail stores such as Future Shop, Bell World, etc.
Key initiative within the IAM team includes construction of a new IdM platform (SailPoint), onboarding of new business applications and working with clients to implement solutions & improvements.
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to act as a Systems Analyst with primary focus on creation of technical specifications; system design. The role encompasses the responsibility for carefully planning, developing, executing test cases against workflows integrated with SailPoint before it goes live to the client community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Document detailed technical requirement specifications towards designing a solution from gathered business requirements
* Work closely with clients to write Systems Requirements documentation and collaborate on alternatives
* Facilitate and drive the technical resolution of issues arising from changes to scope, requirements, or design
* Lead technical reviews and work with other BA’s and vendor teams to ensure solutions matches the future mode of operation
* Understand technical designs and specifications and comply to architecture models (use cases, conceptual, logical, interfaces)
* Build presentations & communicate the release changes (technical) to the respective support teams
* Review and evaluate the vendor’s work deliverables (SDS), to ensure the System Requirements are met
* Development of the test plan and test cases including defining test conditions, negative testing and regression
* Documenting & facilitating detailed user acceptance & business focused test cases leveraging gathered requirements.
* Provide Testing and Normalization support to drive a zero defect project launch
* Maintain a test environment that mirrors production to support testing requirements
* Oversee and assist the vendors and support team in all test phases (System testing, functional testing, user acceptance testing etc.)
* Ensures the integrity, the coherence and the optimal performance of the IdM tools within the test cycle
* Build presentations & communicate the test results (technical) to the support team & clients
* Maintain support documentation to allow ongoing operational maintenance of the tools deployed for operations or various deliverables requested
* Acquire deep knowledge of business processes, systems and their interdependencies to drive improved efficiencies and effective changes and identify all areas of impact to BRS
* Identify and quantify risks relevant to business and systems requirements in support of Change Management
* Maintain productive professional client relationships
* Represent IdM in the planning and the coordination of activities in project deliverables, request for proposals, reviews, committees and others
* Ensure compliance of IAM platforms with relevant industry standards (SOX/PCI) and Bell corporate policy.
* Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Work independently with the client technical team to define specifications and under direction of project managers.
* Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
* Serve as the conduit between the client Business unit technical team and the Identity Management support team (CGI).
Critical Competencies:
* At least 2 years in a role of Systems Analyst.
* Proven Experience in creating technical specifications and solutions based on gathered client requirements
* Proven Experience in developing and executing test cases that align to client requirements
* Strong documentation skills – Ability to capture and define technical specifications in order to create, maintain and update solutions; test cases and operations documentation.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills – Ability to quickly understand and isolate technical issues.
* Understanding of user provisioning concepts, access governance and solutions.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Will be required to present technical solutions to various levels of management, vendors, project teams, etc.
* Team player – Will be required to work with in partnership with many different teams and groups, both internal and external auditors, Vendors, Corporate Security, Enterprise Architecture, Network Operations, Infrastructure, etc.
* Is structured, organized and has a good capacity for analysis and synthesis when confronted with challenges
* Familiarity with major operating systems *nix (Solaris & REHL), windows (2k3, 2k8, 2k12).
Preferred Competencies:
* Bachelor degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
* Previous enterprise wide exposure & experience.
* Knowledge of IdM solutions (SUN IdM, SailPoint).
* Experience with major business units such as contact centers, corporate security, billing, residential services and retail.
* Excellent knowledge of Visio, Word, Excel
* Good knowledge of systems infrastructure, security norms, system administration tools
* Good knowledge of XML and Java
* Bilingual (French & English)
