Our Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE — Canada’s largest and fastest wireless network.

The Network Provisioning Application Support team is responsible of the support and operation of several applications such as NetWorkX and Geospatial Planning Tool. Also part of this team, GeoSolutions is responsible to update the landbase mapping in NetWorkX.
Job duties / Accountabilities:
- The successful candidate will manage an experienced team that ensures the availability of NetWorkX and Geospatial Planning Tool systems for the users and provides appropriate help for their use by the end users. They will also collaborate to evolve these systems to meet the user’s operational needs. Finally, they will have to manage the GeoSolutions team to ensure that the NetWorkX landbase mapping is updated according to the operational teams priorities.
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the NetWorkX and Geospatial Planning Tool Support Desk that is responsible of the:
- Level 2 Support for NetWorkX G/Designer and G/Analyst applications
- Level 2 Support of SAP Extract
- Level 2 Support of Geospatial Planning Tool
- Prioritize fixes and change requests in the systems
- Ensure clear communication and alternative measures, guidelines and tips to get around the known issues
- Manage the documentation of the different websites related to the supported systems
- Manage and prioritize fixes and maintenance of the data from the different systems
- Answer the analysis requests and provide appropriate data
- Perform acceptance testing during production deployment of the various systems
- Manage testing and distribution of the G/Mobile data subsets
- Manage and maintain the NetWorkX reference tables
- Investigate the systems issues and assist CGI and Intergraph to resolve them
- Manage field surveyed data import into NetWorkX
Critical qualifications/Competencies:
- Completion of University degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline
- Five (5) years experience in application support
- Fully efficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Knowledge of NetWorkX G/Designer – G/ Analyst – G/Mobile
- Knowledge of the outside plan network
- Ability to quickly understand new concepts
- Have a high synthesis capacity
- Be autonomous and responsible
- Perform tasks that require concentration and precision
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes
- Ability to work in team
- Communicate effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and customer focus
- Bilingual spoken and written (French and English 5-5-5)
- Strong ability to analyze customer needs and produce the associated documentation
- Strong technical writing skills
- Initiative and excellent skills in organization, administration, interpersonal and project management

- Attention to detail and speed of execution
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to work effectively and directly with customers and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Other Competencies:
- Knowledge of Oracle SQL
- Knowledge of relational database models
- Experience in access network provisioning
- Knowledge of the access network tools and processes
- Knowledge of GIS systems
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
