Position Description:
This solicitation is for a Senior Security Solutions Consultant to join the National Security Testing & Incident Response Team (STIRT) based in the Toronto region. The Security Consultant will primarily be responsible to conduct Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing activities for Bell’s Government and Enterprise clients.
Reporting directly to the Regional Security Practice Leader, the candidate will be an ongoing participant to the portfolio evolution program along with other STIRT customer deliverables.
The growth potential for Professional Services in Toronto is sizeable. This individual will leverage past years of experience in the IS/IT domain, his (or her) demonstrated time management skills, and proven technical knowledge to deliver and grow the team’s services nationally.
The Senior Security Solutions Consultant is accountable for the delivery of the STIRT that will be delivered across Canada with further responsibility in the areas of:
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
* Perform internal and external vulnerability assessments
* Perform network and wireless network penetration testing
* Perform web application penetration testing
* Develop and mature vulnerability management programs within large enterprise organizations
* Use of various methodologies used in Attack & Penetration testing
* Develop and test exploits and scripts ( PERL/Python/Bash Scripting )
* Perform log analysis, WASP, Secure SDLC , web application and security configuration reviews, code reviews
* Perform testing using OWASP and Secure SDLC standards
* Perform IT infrastructure/ Application Security configuration reviews
* Coordination and delivery of ongoing quarterly enterprise scans
* On time delivery of solutions and consulting engagements in accordance with contract terms and conditions or statements of work and industry best practices
* Meeting with clients to present and disclose scan findings
* Ongoing development, maintenance and management of our existing security testing lab environments
* Management of client expectations and timely resolution of issues that may arise; and
* Participation in ongoing development of tools and procedures required by the STIRT and the development of new or evolving practice offerings.
* Perform Incident Response Reviews for Bell’s client’s
* Ability to accurately scope and provide associated effort levels for future opportunities
* External Relationships:
* Clients, typically senior level managers
* Senior Information Technology/Systems Executives, Corporate Information Officer (CIO)
* IT Directors and Senior IT Security staff
* Internal Relationships:
* Sales, Sales Support, Product Development and Marketing senior leader teams
* Professional Services and other Line of Business (Managed Services, Infrastructure)
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* University degree or equivalent business experience
* 5+ years project experience delivering Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing Services for external clients
* Ability to engage easily with multiple management levels and senior IT resources
* Excellent communication skills in (spoken and written)
* Proven experience using OWASP and Secure SDLC best practices
* Comfortable with:
* TCP/IP Networking skills
* Linux / Windows OS and Administration skills
* SQL db experience
* Cisco Routing
* Firewall Administration
* Scripting skills Perl and Python, programming skills with C
* Ability to integrate and manage common network infrastructure;
* Working knowledge of
* Network security tools (NMAP, Nessus, Nikto, Metasploit, BURP, HP Fortify, etc.)
* Security Device Technologies: Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS
* Online vulnerability
* Strong administration skills with FOS software suites (apache, postfix, mailman, majordomo)
* Experience with ESX virtualized environments
* Experience with software distribution and packaging (i.e. RPM, .deb)
* Experience with Configuration Management suites (i.e. CF Engine)
* Strong analytical/problem solving skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage concurrent projects
* Security certification such as CISSP and OPST
* Application development background and security knowledge – example of languages include C, C#, C++, Java, J2EE
* Willingness to Travel
