As part of the Specialty Marketing team, this position is responsible for the daily execution of the consumer based marketing activity for Comedy, Space, Bravo, as well as TheLoop.ca and Autofocus.ca. Accountable to the Director of Marketing in the development and execution of cross-business marketing programs, on-air events, consumer advertising and promotions, including interfacing with external partners and internal resources. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Briefing Creative and Design teams (and other departments as needed) on marketing strategy and messaging pertaining to consumer marketing and digital activities
  • Liaising between departments to successfully execute coordinated and cohesive marketing activities
  • Establishing and communicating programming priorities and maintaining on-air promo optimization to ensure properties are being supported effectively
  • Developing marketing initiatives and strategies to drive traffic to the Comedy and Drama group digital properties and to support the long term health of the digital brands
  • Support for Manager in building and providing research for external media requests and other research support for Comedy and Drama group related initiatives
  • Working with Manager to build and maintain comprehensive marketing plans for Comedy and Drama group priorities via consumer marketing (traditional & digital)
  • Gathering and distributing promotional materials between departments
  • General support for Manager as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Marketing, Media Studies or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in marketing, advertising, research, and/or brand management
  • Understanding of traditional media and how to integrate with digital and social media
  • Experience in developing, tracking and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information
  • Diplomatic, action-oriented, creative and a team-player
  • Must possess strong time management and organizational skills, handling multiple projects with a variety of deadline priorities
  • Ability to offer creative solutions in a timely and effective manner
  • Must be extremely self-motivated, goal oriented with an ability to work independently
  • A self-starter with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
