Position: Automated Master Control Room Operator 2
Location: 299 Queen St W, Toronto (Ontario)
Salary: Group F (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Hours of Work: Rotating 12 hour shifts covering 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 80 hours averaged over 14 days.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks of an MCR 1 operator.
- Act as a crew leader for a team of Master Control Operators.
- Assigning of daily duties to Master Control Team.
- Assist with updating of procedures in an ever changing technical landscape.
- Daily follow-up of technical issues and crew performances.
- Archive Management.
- Backfill all Master Control, Ingest and Feedroom positions as required.
- Liaise with Programming, Promotions, Traffic and Affiliates.
Qualifications:
- 5 years previous Master Control experience in either a manual or automated master control system.
- Working knowledge of Harris or similar automation software.
- A proven track record of working with little supervision.
- The demonstrated ability to succeed in a crew environment.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Previous experience in a live broadcasting environment.
- Strong computer skills.
- Post-secondary education in broadcasting or equivalent industry experience.
