The Finance team supports the Bell Business Markets segment and is responsible for the communications with various corporate groups. The team is responsible for financial reporting coordination across all the business unit line-of-businesses, as well as the overall financial processes and financial integrity. The team works closely with various finance teams and corporate groups. The mandate of the team is to deliver insightful financial information & analysis to the executive team to influence decision taking and drive for greater focus on profitability, while ensuring financial integrity.
The Financial analyst will be primarily responsible for the amalgamation of financial reporting data that will be used for analysis of performance versus Plan and/or Forecast related to the Bell Business Markets financial results (P&L, Key metrics) as well as be involved in various projects.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. Accounting designation or working towards obtaining one (CA, CMA or CGA) would be an asset. New grads are welcome.
* Knowledge and skills with systems, data structures and extracts (MS Office (proficiency in Excel a must). Knowledge of SAP/BI applications, Clarity and BPC would be an asset (in-house financial systems).
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, work on various deliverables simultaneously and prioritize.
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
* Capacity to summarize and to provide recommendations.
* Confident with good leadership.
* Strong written and oral communication skills (bilingual English-French).
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
* Build clear and insightful reports from financial systems in support to the financial analysis. Improve the financial reports reliability, accuracy, clarity and production time.
* Maintain BBM’s financial system (Clarity) and be the primary point of contact across BBM Finance.
* Perform financial analysis in context of financial results.
* Take an active role in the preparation of BBM monthly financial results reporting package.
* Work with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and process improvement.
* Assist with special requests from the executive team or from corporate.
