The Bell Business Markets Finance team supports the Bell Business Markets President & executive team and is responsible for the coordination of financial planning, forecasting & reporting across all segments of the business. In addition, the team works closely with various finance teams, strategic planning and corporate groups to ensure the overall integrity of information and the financial process. The mandate of the team is to deliver insightful financial information & analysis to the executive team in order to support decision making in improving financial performance, while ensuring financial integrity.
The Senior Manager – Finance BBM will be responsible for the coordination of the BBM planning and forecasting processes and involved in various projects related to Bell Business Markets. The successful candidate must have a minimum 7 years experience in finance roles and will report to the Director of Finance.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and accounting designation (CPA-CA, CPA-CMA or CPA-CGA)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a finance role
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, work on various deliverables and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated ability to create high quality presentations to management, strong PowerPoint skills
- Very strong analytical skills, ability to see the “big picture” and to summarize into an executive deck
- Strong written and oral communication skills (bilingual English-French)
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and be able to challenge information and focus on key items
- Strong leadership attributes
- Capacity to summarize and to provide recommendations
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Spearhead the BBM annual Budget process and the financial rollup of the three-year Long Range Plan, as well as the in-year Forecasting process.
- Coordinate BBM financial planning/forecasting activities (communication, timelines, governance, templates, details);
- Liaise with other finance primes and BCE Corporate group;
- Ensure increased tie-in of Financials with business story;
- Produce comprehensive year-over-year and trajectories analysis;
- Prepare presentation materials for BBM senior leadership team;
- Evaluate business trends to understand future performance; identify key risks & opportunities and provide recommendations;
- Partner with BBM Strategic Planning team.
- Lead and support 2 staff members
- Work with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and process improvements
