Responsibilities: The Retail Sales Manager will provide visible, hands-on leadership, direction and support for a team of sales executives to ensure revenue and profit objectives through marketing and sales of commercial air time and digital products for CTV London, 975 Virgin Radio, BX93, News Talk 1290 CJBK and Funny 1410.
- Work with General Sales Manager to develop and implement sales initiatives designed to generate incremental revenues and enhance competitive position.
- Assist Sales Executives with design and preparation of effective advertising programs for clients, incorporating audience and market knowledge and research.
- Build relationships, interact and liaise effectively with internal and external peers, clients and community network, with active participation in promotional campaigns and on-site events.
- Develop partnership opportunities by liaising with the sales team to deliver client advertising solutions across all platforms, including radio, TV and digital. When appropriate, become a champion of cross-media campaigns.
- Manage retail sales department and staff, and participate as a member of management team.
- Utilize sales resources and work cooperatively with Promotions, Production, Programming, Traffic, Finance, Digital and IT personnel;
- Other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years successful experience as a broadcast media sales executive with progressive experience and professional development.
- Excellent leadership and team building skills
- Superior communication skills including the ability to manage and motivate a dynamic sales force
- Enthusiastic and committed to exceed sales targets in competitive markets.
- Personable, credible, resilient marketing professional, interested in developing new business and building long-term trust relationships that help client business thrive, while driving repeat cash-flow for employer.
- Success built on personal integrity and always doing the right thing for the client and the Company.
- Talented presenter, problem-solver, with strong interpersonal, management and administrative expertise and well-developed electronic skills.
- Use of personal vehicle and a valid drivers licence required.
- Excellent computer skills a must: proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Wide Orbit Traffic/Sales System, VCI Orion, Columbine and BBM/Numeris would be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail along with excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- Must be a motivated, team player, who has excellent organizational and communication skills.
