The Role
The Windows System Administrator will be relevant to the Insurance Services Manager. He has the responsibility to manage internal or external customer Windows systems outsourced to Bell Canada. This is an operational position. He will be responsible to provide daily support on different customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 1800+ Windows servers and Microsoft Technology : troubleshooting, proactive management, security management, daily operation and optimization.
- Plan, implement operating systems, apply software patch and new versions updates, apply security fixes.
- Be involved in new Windows servers deployment projects, using the standard department policies.
- Understand performance metrics and maintain / optimize system capacity and performance;
- Create and update system documentation (buildbook, runbook).
- Follow the existing processes based on ITIL .
- Availability to provide 7 / 24 support on duty pager rotation.
Critical Competencies
- University degree or equivalent.
- MCITP / MCTS / MCSA / MSCE certifications are considered as assets.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System administrator on production environments.
- Bilingual.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008/2012.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010 – mandatory.
- Experience with Internet Information Services.
- Experience with Microsoft ISA Server 2000/2004/2006.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, vbs).
- Knowledge of NetBackup, LEMSS, EPO, SCOM
- Knowledge of network and security concept.
- Knowledge on hardening guidance.

Preferred Competencies
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is an asset.
- Experience with vmware is an asset.
- Knowledge of de BizTalk and SharePoint are considered as assets.

- Knowledge with storage management (SAN/NAS) is an asset.
