To support its growth, Quebec Bell Media is looking for an information architect / user experience specialist to join the creative team to perform modeling of the user experience for the development of large content web sites or mobile applications.
The candidate will participate in the design of websites and mobile applications in multidisciplinary teams. The role will be to apply the methods and techniques of user-centric design approach and related research, analysis, design and evaluation of interfaces (web, application, mobile, software, etc..)
Responsibilities
- Assist in analysis and strategic thinking related to web projects and mobile application development;
- Listen, analyze and understand the issues of customers;
- Analyze target audiences, their profiles and needs;
- Provide innovative solutions to the team and to customers in a clear and concise manner;
- Heuristic evaluation of existing Web and participation in the futur development and evolution of sites/platform/application through recommendations (personas, user testing, etc..);
- Develop information architectures (inventory of contents, site map, navigation model, features, hierarchy information);
- Design the user experience by integrating best practices in terms of ergonomics, navigation and web accessibility models (wire frame);
- Design and prototype of navigable usability tests;
- Create working models, charts (flowcharts), write functional specifications;
- Ensure usability and consistency of interfaces of each website according to the norms and standards in terms of user-centric and SEO experience;
- Monitor and assist art directors, and developer throughout the project to ensure the quality of user experience.
Qualifications

- Leadership and autonomy;
- Excellent communicator and great writing skills;
- Mastery of best practices in terms of ergonomics, navigation, user experience and web accessibility;
- Ability to model the needs and behavior of users;
- Experience in user testing;
- Basic knowledge of SEO (SEO) and accessibility;
- Five years of experience in web and mobile application information architecture;
- Mastery of the Office suite and Axure software or other software prototyping.
Education
- University degree in ergonomics, graphic design, cognitive science or other relevant discipline;
- Reduced tuition combined with relevant experience may be considered.
