Role
FTTH Brownfield Team is currently seeking a candidate to fill a network specialist position. FTTH Brownfield Team creates residential fibre optic network solutions to support Bell products and services. Our network know-how creates value and influences investment decisions made with a view to meeting the challenges of the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
- Manage end to end quality for FTTH Brownfield program :
- Work plans quality
- Quality of the network installed
- Database quality
- Produce periodically the results for the Governance and develop jointly action plans for continuous improvement of quality.
- Manage and participate in various projects such as working committees on improving quality, processes and work/group organization.
- Track productivity for FTTH Brownfield program. Analyse the results to prepare individual and adapted solutions.
- Continuously develop his or her knowledge on project management and network technology.
Critical Competencies:
- Knowledge of the access network architecture and telecom technologies
- Strong understanding of project management
- Ability to manage several files at once
- Strong analytical skills and sense of responsibility, as well as sound judgment
- Good organizational and planning skills and the ability to effectively manage stress
- Interpersonal skills and client focus; excellent team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English
- Basic knowledge of popular software such as MS Office and comfortable using various applications
- Marked ability to deal with change
Preferred Competencies:
- Knowledge of technical design standards for the access network
- Experience with provisioning groups
- Knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of the telecom industry
- Experience in contract management with third parties and suppliers
