Manager, Channel Sales Support

The Bell Residential Services Sales & Distribution team is looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to fulfill the role of Manager, Retail Take To Market.    The Retail Take To Market team is responsible for planning, executing, measuring and optimizing our take to market initiatives. The programs you will be working on will help drive acquisition, customer growth and / or retention and activities include sales channel support (incentives, collateral / support material, training) and management of the channel performance and distribution mix.

 

The successful candidate will report to the  Director of Retail Sales and Distribution and will work closely with Marketing,  Retail Channel and Training and Communications teams.  The candidate will support a team of retail channel specialists.  This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong analytical, marketing, interpersonal skills,  and program execution skills  looking to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • People Management
    • Support a team of Retail Channel Specialists
  • Account/Performance Management and Channel Support
    • Analyse results at channel and store level and identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness through process and systems enhancements
    • Manage POD efficiencies
    • Provide retail channels with innovative incentive and compensation programs to drive results
    • Manage escalations and  inquiries
    • Conduct Store visits and mystery shop programs
  • Channel Execution
    • Execute Marketing campaigns nationally through all retail channels
    • Creation of training materials that act as selling tools
    • Training
    • Create and execute communications tailored to each retail banner
  • Relationship Management
    • Be the BRS Sales Evangelist for Retail Channels
    • Gain the Hearts and Minds of the retail channel sales representatives buy making our products easy to buy, easy to sell and easy to support

 

Critical Competencies/Qualifications:

  • A proven leader who has experience providing support to various retail sales channels and who instinctively practices the “Servant Leadership” philosophy
  • Experienced in developing Take To Market Campaigns for the retail sales channel within the ultra competitive telco market
  • A proven leader who is committed to grow and develop high performance teams
  • A team player, with the ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and a strong track record of driving performance improvements across a team of direct reports
  • A desire to influence and promote change – results oriented
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage several projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledgeable on all BRS products (TV, home phone and Internet)
  • Comfortable and well-versed working with spreadsheets, manipulating and analysing data and presenting recommendations to senior leaders/executives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Bilingual (French / English) is a requirement only if the candidate is located in Montreal

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related area, Masters or Professional Designation preferred
