Bell Business Markets Atlantic Professional Services team has an immediate requirement for a SharePoint Developer to join its team of professional consultants in Halifax, Nova Scotia,

 

As a SharePoint Developer, you will design, develop, and implement high-quality portals for our clients. You will accomplish this through research and analysis and by defining, documenting, testing and implementing the SharePoint solution.

 

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Delivering business value by implementing effective SharePoint technology solutions
  • Quickly learning and employing SharePoint architecture standards throughout all designs and identify opportunities to improve the architecture
  • Grasping a thorough understanding of the client’s business model and Enterprise Content Management strategy to ensure your SharePoint solutions are applicable to their realities
  • Working closely with the client’s business representatives to define and document SharePoint functional designs and development specifications
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships while managing scope expectations
  • Developing and delivering client presentations and demonstrate SharePoint prototypes
  • Planning and managing workload
  • Providing reliable estimates of effort
  • Preparing and executing test plans to ensure the SharePoint system works as designed
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing to ensure the SharePoint system meets the business requirements
  • Consistently performing as a collaborating member of this highly functioning team
  • Solving problems and resolving issues
  • Developing technical standards and SharePoint Practices
  • Designing and deploying SharePoint 2010/2013 content management and intranet solutions
  • Developing SharePoint 2010/2013 technical and information architectures

 

Experience/Education Required:

  • University/college degree or equivalent
  • Five years of combined experience developing out of the box and custom MOSS 2007 and SharePoint 2010/2013 solutions
  • Experience designing, building, deploying, upgrading and testing custom SharePoint 2010/2013 solutions and portals
  • Significant knowledge in SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience as a .NET developer
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint technical architecture
  • HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT
  • Experience in Windows Server, Windows Authentication, and IIS
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012
  • Desired: Microsoft certifications (SharePoint)
  • Experience with planning and configuring enterprise and federated search

 

Experience with any of the following would be an asset:

  • Performing SharePoint migrations
  • Customizing SharePoint 2010/2013 using SharePoint Designer as well as various other .NET components
  • Designing and developing workflow using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010/2013 and InfoPath
  • Implementing Excel Services
