Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Specialty Marketing team, this position is responsible for the execution of consumer marketing activity for CTV News, CTV News Channel, CP24, and BNN.  Reporting to the Marketing Director, this position contributes to the development and implementation of consumer advertising and promotions and cross-business marketing programs.   Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Communicate marketing priorities to key stakeholders.
  • Brief creative and design teams (and other departments as needed) on marketing strategy and messaging.
  • Maintain on-air promo optimization to ensure properties are supported effectively.
  • Develop marketing initiatives and strategies to drive traffic to the News group digital properties and to support the long-term health of the digital brands.
  • Liaise between departments to successfully execute coordinated and cohesive marketing initiatives.
  • Interface with internal and external partners.
  • Source and analyze research for marketing plans and reports.
  • Process invoices and maintain Budget Control Report.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of live events.
  • Update and distribute status reports.
  • Maintain database of campaign elements and brand related material.
  • Monitor, record and analyze competitive initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional, creative, resourceful and action-oriented.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb time management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Actively engaged in social media platforms and able to identify opportunities for Marketing applications.
  • Understanding of research methods and applications.
  • University/post-secondary education required, with emphasis on Marketing preferred.
  • Creative writing skills considered a valuable asset.
