Our Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE — Canada’s largest and fastest wireless network.

The Core Network Management district is responsible to deploy and manage competitive, cost effective and robust core networks to meet the requirements of our customers across all market segments. This includes underlying power, building infrastructure and fibre across the Transport, TDM, ATM, OE, and IP/MPLS layers.
Job duties / accountabilities:
The successful candidate would be responsible to achieve network planning and provisioning of the Regional Transport network in QR. We require the candidate to have great team skills and the ability to constantly upgrade his expertise with new technologies essential to provide various services (voice, data, broadband, radio, video and IP). Working knowledge of telecommunications technology would be a valuable asset.
Day-to-day activities and accountabilities include:
- Optimization of the transport network to meet service requirements
- Determining the scope of network augmentation jobs including timing, sizing and costing
- Provide design direction, technical and process leadership to the team members and other interfacing groups
- Work within a broader team of Network Managers and Project Managers on various leading edge projects as required
Essential skills / competencies:
- Sound decision-making skills
- Able to manage several mandates simultaneously
- A willingness to make independent decisions and take on an increased job scope as changes happen
- Proven leadership skills
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer focus and organizational skills
- A prior knowledge of Telecommunications technology is an asset
Preferred Qualification/Competencies:
- Knowledge of Synchronization equipment
- Knowledge of the Transport Network Provisioning;
- Knowledge of monitoring network NML
