The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Sales Operation, the successful candidate plans the training and development priorities as well as supports of team of 4 training specialists who execute the programs. Our organization serves a variety of internal customers:
* A community of over 1000 sales representatives located in all Canadian major cities –these include business dealers, inside small biz reps and Bell F/F sales teams
* Radio sales & operation team
* Customer Direct Sales – Consumer sales team
He/She is accountable to grow and maintain the training and development offering, which encompasses a wealth of programs covering on-boarding, product knowledge, process training and skills development. This role requires someone who is comfortable to building bridges with the channels to understand how to best create value. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong relational skills, and also likes to stay current on training best practices, on product portfolio evolution and on planning and team management and coaching best practices. Industry experience is preferred by not required. The candidate must be customer oriented, be a team player, have a positive and dynamic attitude.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and support a team of training specialists
* Prioritize training projects; balancing time investment & budget availabilities
* Determine the training strategies to meet business imperatives
* Recommend training and development plan to anticipate areas of growth
* Define measurable and report on training performance
* Manage the training budget in order to optimize our results/investment
Critical Competencies:
* Strong understanding of team dynamics and adult learning principles,
* Solid analytical skills
* Capacity to manage multiple projects without missing a beat.
* Minimum 5 years experience in the areas of business training or business sales support functions
* Proven ability to create plans and deliver presentations to decision makers
* Strong influencing and negotiating skills sufficient to determine needs, challenge beliefs, identify underlying issues, look for alternatives and gain the support of others to meet objectives
* Exceptional communication skills in English (French is an asset)
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
* Great time and priority management skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to make decisions quickly and act on them accordingly
* Excellent listening skills
* Creative approach to problems
* Open-minded and flexible
