Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary: Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
* Edit News and Sports stories for daily newscasts using the highest professional journalistic standards.
* Accountable for raising issues of concern for legal or other matters
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 3-4 years editing experience in a news environment
* Good editorial skills and news judgement required
* Working knowledge of technical operations
* Ability to work within strict time constraints of daily newscasts
* Must be able to work independently when assigned or with reporters in a respectful and collaborative manner.
* Graduate from a recognized broadcasting program desirable
* Ability to work in standard office environment that may be hectic and stressful due to editorial and time constraints.
