Position: TSN Story Associate – Sportscentre
Location:Agincourt
Salary:Unifor Group 2 (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
• Create Headlines, Montage, bumpers, stings and other elements and features for Sportscentre
• Font Ad for Sportscentre
• Coordinate shifts for Sportscentre
• Package reports that are sent in from the field as required
• Work with the Producer to find video content for show elements
• Contribute storyline and production ideas
• Create highlight packs from live sports events under the supervision of the Highlight Manager
• Research games and develop storylines for highlight packs
• Provide general assistance in the newsroom
Qualifications:
• University/College education in broadcasting or journalism, or equivalent work experience.
• 2 to 4 years of demonstrated editorial, journalistic and production skills.
• Works well under tight time constraints and possesses strong teamwork / communications skills
• Thorough sports knowledge.
• Proven strength in packaging sports highlights
• Demonstrated writing skills
• Demonstrated creativity
• Strong TV Production knowledge
• Familiarity with all television formats, past and present.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Able to work night shifts and weekends
