Expertech Network Installation is a major network infrastructure service provider for the wireline and wireless broadband technology market and employs over 1,600 experts: managers, technicians and administrative staff in Quebec and Ontario.
The Expertech team is responsible for provisioning Bell Canada’s network, ensuring the job is completed on time, within budget, and to the customer’s quality standards. PURPOSE AND SCOPE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under general direction, responsible for the management, organization, scheduling and productivity of technical staff that perform telecommunications construction/installation work. Manage team revenue, expenses, budget and equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards. Coach staff on work execution and problem solving, establishing training needs and improvement plans. Monitor job costs and progress to ensure customer expectations are met. Interface with internal/external customers on a daily basis to support the highest level of customer satisfaction.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the Access operation of Line, Splicing (Copper & Fiber) operations.
Lead and manage a team of Access Technicians.
Manages and provides coaching, leadership, and training to a crew of craft and service employees.
Conducts regular field / site visits (with employees and contractors) to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and design that comply with specifications.
Distributes work projects to employees or contractors and directs their activities based upon scheduling requirements, quality, safety, load monitoring, and priority.
Makes sure project due dates are met, within budget and complying with customers specifications.
Develops a good relationship with employees, contractors, and internal/external customers. Strong project management skills and a customer focused approach.

Analyzes and makes decisions on projects, considering cost, schedule, staff, equipment, and quality. Experience with financial tracking from a team profitability point of view.
Monitors and manages revenues, expenses, billing, and budget for his/her team. Is able to produce monthly analysis and reports on the teams’ results.
Has the ability to manage and schedule projects and employees using SAP.
Verifies and approves timesheets, activity sheets, job logs and new work notifications. Follows administrative processes that are specified in an ISO controlled environment.
Ensures all material is ordered and available for projects, completes installation reports (IRs) when needed. Monitors material performance, material costs and time estimates to ensure that all phases of the project are within specifications.
This position involves reading and writing reports, proposals, procedures, contracts, and consultation papers.
Manages and is accountable for team’s fleet and tool utilization.
Candidates must be knowledgeable regarding Expertech’s values, services, employees and also similar companies/competitors.
Managing with rigor and discipline in a unionized environment.
Traveling is required to visit project sites, internal/external customers, including remote areas and Expertech staff.
Needs to be on call when required.
May perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Educational Level Required:
University Degree or College diploma in business/technology (focusing on telecommunications) and/or equivalent experience
Specific Experience:
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)
Full understanding of organization’s and shareholder’s (Expertech/Bell) product and service offerings
Understanding of financial concepts
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and legislation
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills
